Pre-School Openings
The First Presbyterian Church Pre-school in Pulaski has begun registration for fall of 2008. They have openings in the three year old class which runs Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. Children must be 3 by Sept. 30. The children have an opportunity to develop social skills, learn how to be part of a group, sing, play, do art projects, follow directions, and many other skills all in a loving Christian atmosphere. The Nicaragua trip in January will be partnering with an orphanage, and there are opportunities for things such as construction, medical, dentistry, teaching, computers, and just generally loving and serving people. The England trip will be partnering with King’s Church to reach out to the inner-city of Portsmouth, including kids, single moms & dads, and just loving and serving the church and the city. While in Mississippi we will be doing minor house repairs, painting, and vacation Bible schools for local children. Our group will head to the Gulf Coast June 28th – July 5th. Cost is $250

Church-wide 4th Of July Celebration (11:10AM)
Come join the Blacksburg Baptist Church for an old fashioned picnic at Caboose Park on Sunday, July 6th following the 11:10 worship service.  Food will include Pork BBQ, coleslaw, macaroni & cheese and baked beans.  Drinks and paper products will also be provided.  We would like each family to bring a batch of cookies or brownies.  What better way to celebrate Independence Day!!  Please make reservations by contacting the church office at 552-3869 or bbbc@blacksburgbaptist.org before Friday, July 4th.

It doesn’t get much better than that! Our group will head to JP the week of July 13- 19.
